The Dilemma and the situation

:) CTS was deemed to come to our campus on 7th of dec and
conduct their ever famed recruitment program. Rumored numbers of
people who were to be taken were flying about. I was on the process of
applying for my MS abroad, having written GRE n TOEFL. But our univ
being Amrita had put a "MANDATORY" label on whole placement thing and
so I HAD to attend.

7th dec - yesterday - nice and bright.
All were asked to be present at 8 sharp with their necessary materials
at the PANTHAL where the presentation was to be shown and pre-
placement talks were to be held. It was mokkai, to be frank. I
literally fell asleep. Then we had the Apti test conducted by
Merittrac and was on 70, had 3 sections - Analytical ability, verbal n
attention to detail. I frankly thought that CTS ppl were making fun of
us cuz the questions were of the '1st standard PCM exam' type. verbal,
i admit was a bit on the tuff side but i knew i wud get thru. After
the test, the wait began. The results were to be announced by 3 but
came only by 8, by which time I had already gone home. The interview
was to be held the very next day.

8th dec - today - again nice and bright.
there were 50 panels containing a member each to interview the 900
who had cleared the test among the 1295 who attended. and there were
two slots for the interview - 8.30am and 11 am. I was assigned to the
11am slot, panel no:42. I reached college by 10.30am and heard
millions of rumors flying - only hr, both hr, only technical, very
strict, blah blah blah, you know, the usual. Again, the WAIT, strating
from 11 am to 1 pm. Some of my frenz had already finished and I got
mixed reviews.I decided not to commit my decision to any review and
decided to do my best. Had to wait for another 2 hours cuz the
interviewer had to go for lunch. And it was just me n 3 other guys
with me as the second person. (Can you believe I was the only student
from my branch to get panel:42?) At 3 sharp, the HR fellow of our
panel came. I did take a moment to appreciate his punctuality. The guy
before me was called and remained inside for a half hour. Next was my
turn - then came a series of HR and technical questions which even if
I dint know, was able to answer confidently. For the last time, I
hoped, came the WAIT. At 7.30 sharp they began announcing the results.
I was one among the 541 selected from Amritapuri, Bangalore and
Ettimadai campuses and one among the 16 in our class. I feel ebullient
but in a dilemma - about my MS or job situation. I guess I have got to
decide patiently.

Cheers! :)

Avatar - The world of colour and light!

Oh my gosh!! This is my very first reaction after coming out the theatre playing Avatar in 3D. Anybody who says the movie sucks is gonna rot in hell - mark my words. James Cameron has really worked on this one. I mean the characters, the plot, the direction, the GRAPHICS. Oh my, dont even get me started on the graphics. It was amazing!! And amazing is JUST an understatement. He worked for 12 years on this one and it was worth the wait. I had tears in my eyes when I watched the scenes splashed with colour and lights all over for it is an animator's dream come true. I dont wanna leak out the story before you guys watch it but I'm sure most of you would have heard it firsthand or second hand or etc etc. But all of you who havent watched, you are missing out the best 3 hours of your life and believe me, unless you are made of stone, you wont regret it. Go watch it and lets discuss it over here cuz I cant wit to gush about the movie. :)
Cheers.
